Amy Winehouse has topped a new list of ‘Celebrity Trainwrecks of 2008’.
Amy's long list of problems – drug use, run-ins with the law and a dramatic marriage – seemingly multiplied this year after she won five Grammys for her 2006 album ‘Back to Black.’ Concerns about her health grew as the 25-year-old Brit checked in and out of a London hospital, most recently for an allergic reaction to prescribed medication.

Second on the list is Lindsay Lohan. Her only career move in 2008 was a few episodes of "Ugly Betty" and the rest of her year consisted of making headlines for her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson. Tara Reid came third while Britney Spears landed the fourth spot.

King of Pop Michael Jackson did absolutely nothing in 2008 except for stepping out in pajamas and facemasks. He also faced lawsuits. Apparently, that was enough to earn him a spot in the Top 5.

Amy's label desperate to make hit album

Troubled popstar Amy Winehouse’s label Island Record is so desperate to make her latest album a hit that they have booked three studios at the same time.

The label has blown a whopping 150,000 pounds in hiring the studios at north, east and west London.

"Amy's next record is one of the most eagerly anticipated in pop music so the record label isn't taking any chances,” the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

"Although there have been some recording sessions and she has played some songs to the head of the record company, there is still no sign of the album,” the source added.

This could be the first time a label has block-booked different studios for the same artist.

"Sadly Amy doesn't have a great track record in terms of reliability - she's been known to pull out of gigs. But she does like an all-night bender so by booking three different venues, at least the record label are assured - on the law of averages - that she'll turn up in one of them,” a source said.

"It's a pretty unprecedented move - rehearsal spaces packed with professional gear and sound equipment do not come cheap, costing up to 1,000 pounds a day,” the source added.
