The ghost vanishes

Pritviraj’s Christmas release in Malayalam Lollipop is turning out to be bitter for the actor.

The other stars in this youth film are Bhavana, Jayasurya, Roma and Bobban Kunchacko. The audience’s reaction to the film which released on Friday (December 19), was so bad that the director Shafi decided to change the beginning and end of the film! The version shown on the first two days of its release begins with a ghost (Jayasurya) narrating the story in a flashback.

The director just re-edited the film. The version being shown from Sunday has no flashback episode; instead Jayasurya is now a human and top comedian Jagathy Sreekumar’s who was listening to the story from the ‘ghost’ has vanished from the film! Still, the film has not been appreciated and collections are not encouraging. It looks like Pritviraj’s big dream of emerging as the next superstar in Malayalam has been dashed once again, this time by a ghost!
